So Wigan Chairman, Dave Whelan has given Everton permission to talk to Roberto Martinez and Everton are expected to open up talks within 48 hours

OK, so Martinez got Wigan relegated but he also won the FA Cup, something that most Evertonians are still wishing for and that Moyes could not deliver. Wigan did play attractive attacking football, you only need to look at the FA Cup game against us were lets face it they battered us.
